Power restored to hydro customers

Residents in several areas, including Spohn Township, Flemming, McCrosson, Big Grassy First Nation, and Morson, have had their power restored after an outage caused by stormy weather early Sunday morning.
Hydro One reported Tuesday morning the roughly 700 customers had their power restored around 10 p.m. Monday after multiple hydro and forestry crews made repairs.
Lightning and high winds had caused downed trees on lines and broken poles.
The townships of Kirkup and Pellatt in Kenora District also were affected. Four Thunder Bay line crews were flown in to help there.
The public is urged to stay away from any downed trees and power lines.
