Police seize meth

The Fort Frances Community Drug Action Team, with the support of the Rainy River District OPP and the OPP’s Northwest Region Emergency Response Team, conducted a search warrant last Thursday at #58A in the Walleye Trailer Park here.
As a result of the investigation, officers charged two adult males and two adult females with three counts of trafficking and six counts of possession.
Officers also seized various controlled substances, including marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, Canadian currency, 15 communication devices, packaging material, and debit lists.
During the investigation, officers determined several small children were living inside the residence.
Police subsequently involved Weechi-it-te-win Family Services and the Kenora-Rainy River Districts Family and Children Services to support the investigation.
The Fort Frances CDAT can confirm this is the first police seizure of methamphetamine within Rainy River District.
Police seized seven grams at a street value of $1,400.
All four accused are scheduled to appear in court here Jan. 6.
