From the OPP
On Sunday around 9:20 p.m., the Kenora OPP received word of a fire at a lodge on Highway 17 near Vermilion Bay.
The Machin Fire Department attended prior to the OPP and was able to extinguish the fire with assistance from the Longbow Lake Fire Department.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
