Shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday, Rainy River District OPP officers, with assistance from the Fort Frances Crime Unit, located and apprehended Matthew Bradley Meyers without incident.
Meyers was taken into police custody in the area of Clearwater Lake, about 30 km north of Emo.
Police had been looking for Meyers since April 29 when he had fled from the Fort Frances OPP detachment as officers conducted a criminal investigation.
Meyers has been charged with possession of stolen property, breach of probation, assault, uttering threats, and escaping lawful custody.
He will remain in police custody pending a show cause hearing in Fort Frances.
