Police looking for stolen vehicle

The Fort Frances OPP were advised that motor vehicle had been stolen sometime between 11 p.m. Wednesday, and 6 a.m. yesterday from a residence on Third Street West in Fort Frances.
Suspects stole a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier from 643 Third St. West. The vehicle is described as brown or tan in colour, with four doors and a child care seat in the rear.
The vehicle bears the licence number ALZT 703 Ontario.
The vehicle had been parked under the carport, with keys left in the vehicle and a quarter tank of gas.
The culprits also took a five-gallon gas can containing approximately four gallons of gas.

In other news, there two car/deer collisions on Wednesday on Highway 11 between Fort Frances and Rainy River. The OPP would like to remind motorists to be alert when travelling on rural highways and be conscious of the wildlife in the area.
The tall grass often provides excellent cover for animals that frequently walk into the path of unsuspecting motorists.
Likewise, adhering to the posted speed limits should provide drivers with the suitable reaction time necessary to safely avoid a collision with a animal that wanders onto the highway.
