Police called to Beaver Brae

From the OPP

On Friday around 11:45 a.m., members of the Kenora OPP responded to Beaver Brae Secondary School to a report of a weapon on school property.
The OPP immediately advised nearby schools as a precaution and searched the area.
As a result, a 15-year-old male was arrested but later released after it was learned the weapon was an airsoft gun.
The OPP would like to remind the public that carrying any replica, model, or air gun resembling a real gun will be treated seriously and as a threat to public safety by police until proven otherwise.
