Plans underway for Family Day

Robin McCormick

As most people are aware, Family Day is Feb. 21 and that means a holiday for many families in Rainy River District.
One way to enjoy the day is to come to the Emo-La Vallee Community Centre for an afternoon of free family fun from noon-4 p.m.
Highlights include a family skate from noon-2 p.m., followed by shinny hockey from 2-4 p.m. Helmets and gloves are mandatory.
As well, a movie and games will be available from noon-4 p.m., which includes free snacks.
This event is being organized by the Emo-La Vallee-Chapple Healthy Communities Coalition, with special thanks to the Emo-La Vallee Community Centre board for making use of the centre free of charge.

Robin’s 2¢:
One friend complained to another.
“All my husband and I do anymore is fight.
“I’ve been so upset, I’ve lost 20 pounds.”
“If it’s than bad, why don’t you just leave him?” the other friend asked.
“I’d like to lose another 15 pounds first,” came the reply.
