The Kenora OPP responded to a call of a plane crash around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Beauty Bay area of Black Sturgeon Lake.
Witnesses told police the Osprey floatplane was conducting “touch and goes” (i.e., take-offs and landings).
At one point while taking off, the plane lost control and made contact with the water.
The pilot suffered minor injuries while the plane sustained some damage.
