Peter Spuzak is running for a position as councillor in Alberton.
A beef farmer and artist, he was born and raised in the community. His immediate family includes his wife, Kathy, sons, Peter Jr., John, and Anthony, and daughter, Nathalia.
Peter has served on the Rainy River Cattlemen’s Association Board for more than 25 years and was its president for several terms. As well, he served as the founding board member of the Rainy River District Feeder Finance Co-operative and was its president.
He also has worked, for a number of terms, on the Alberton Township Planning Board and was the livestock and fence valuer for the municipality.
In addition, he has served as president of the Fort Frances Arts and Crafts Association for more than 25 years and is a director on the Rainy River District Abattoir Board.
Spuzak is seeking a position on council because he was asked by several people in the township to do so.
He has had a life-long interest in the community, and with many years of experience in serving on various organizations throughout Rainy River District and the province, he would like to serve on Alberton’s municipal team with common sense and accountability.
