The Rainy River Easter Seals District Council is happy to announce the month of March has been proclaimed as Easter Seals Month by Fort Frances Mayor Dan Onichuk.
The group’s paper egg fundraising campaign started today (March 4) and will until to Easter Sunday (March 27).
The paper eggs will be on sale at several locations in Fort Frances and Emo.
Customers are asked to make a donation of $2 to have the name of a family member or friend placed on the paper egg, which then will be put on display within the various locations for the duration of the month.
The proceeds of this campaign go to helping children in Rainy River District who have physical disabilities and their families to assist with such things as purchasing special equipment and going to specialized camps.
