Pair inadvertently eat marijuana cookies

OPP from the Sioux Narrows Nestor Falls office are currently investigating a report that two local residents inadvertently ingested cookies laced with marijuana.
The residents ate the cookies after they found a bag of baking hanging on their door. Believing that a friend had left the baking for them while they weren’t home, they ate some of the cookies in the bag.
A short while later both residents began to feel intoxicated and started hallucinating. They sent to the nursing station and were taken to Lake of the Woods District hospital where they were both treated and released.
Police are still investigating the incident and asking anyone with information to contact the Kenora OPP or Crime Stoppers.
Also in Sioux Narrows Nestor Falls, the OPP are currently investigating a break and enter to the United Church on Johnson Road.
Overnight on July 28 someone slashed the screen on one of the windows of the church, removed the screen and slid the window open.
A cross that was leaning against the building was then used to climb inside.
No damage was done inside the Church and nothing appears to have been stolen.
Police are also requesting that anyone with information on the break and enter contact Kenora OPP or Crime Stoppers.
