Pair face trafficking charges

The Fort Frances Community Drug Action Team, in conjunction with Rainy River District OPP detachment officers, conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 11 in Emo on Tuesday.
As a result of the police investigation, the vehicle’s driver and passenger were arrested and found in possession of 2,380 grams (five pounds, four oz.) of marijuana.
Carl Meeches, 44, of Fort Frances and Rhonda Johnson, 33, of Fort Frances both were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana.
They are scheduled to appear in court here in March.
