the OPP

A member of the Fort Frances OPP’s Community Drug Action Team, along with a member of the OPP’s Drug Enforcement Unit, conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 11 in Fort Frances yesterday.
The driver of the vehicle, Thomas Tresoor, and the passenger, Jason Desrochers, were arrested and found to be in possession of about $2,210 in proceeds of crime.
As a result of further investigation, it was determined that Tresoor was suspected of trafficking oxycodone pills over the last number of weeks in and around the Fort Frances area on 10 separate occasions.
Tresoor, 56, of Winnipeg, Man., was charged with 10 counts of trafficking in oxycodone, uttering forged documents, and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
Desrochers, 34, also of Winnipeg, was charged with obstruction of justice.
Both were taken into custody at the time of the vehicle stop, and were scheduled to appear in court here today.
