At around 1:50 a.m. today, Fort Frances OPP officers were called to a disturbance at an apartment on the 200 block of Scott Street.
The officers located two subjects who had been drinking and were known to police as being on probation.
A 19-year-old of Fort Frances woman was arrested and charged with breach of probation. She was released from custody and will appear in court Feb. 27.
The other subject, a 20-year-old La Vallee man, also was arrested and charged with breach of probation.
He was held in custody and appeared in court here this morning.
In other police news, at around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, Rainy River OPP tried to stop an SUV towing a trailer on Highway 11 west of Worthington Road # 3.
The vehicle continued its trip, travelling around 70 km/h. It was observed disobeying road signs and failing to yield to other motorists.
The 1995 GMC Jimmy eventually was stopped at the junction of Blue Road #2 and Highway 612.
The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old Rainy River man, had been drinking and had to be forcibly removed from the vehicle.
He was arrested and charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He also was charged with failing to stop for police.
He is slated to appear in court in Rainy River on Feb. 23.
