The annual Northern Ontario chess tournament was held Oct. 21 in Thunder Bay.
Representing Crossroads school in Devlin was Michael Shute and Wade Johnson.
After a lot of skill displayed, Johnson won 2.5 games while Shute won 1.5 games.
One hundred prizes were raffled off to a group of roughly 300 kids aged six-18. Johnson received a $50 certificate for his efforts.
