Orchestra to perform in Barwick

Chapple Heritage and Borderland Community Orchestra will present an evening of music on Tuesday, May 29 at the Barwick Hall.
There is no admission to attend but a free-will offering in support of the Chapple Museum would be appreciated.
In related news, the heritage group also will be holding its annual two-day yard sale on June 8-9 at the community hall in support of the museum.
Donations will be accepted and tables will be available for rent.

A men’s fellowship breakfast will be held this Saturday at 8 a.m. at the Emo Legion.
Pat Giles from Rainy River will be the guest speaker this month.
Come for delicious breakfast while enjoying fellowship with old and new friends. Men and boys of all ages are welcome, with the cost being $12/person.

The Fort Frances Lions Club and the Fort Frances Voyageur Lions Club are hosting a golf tournament at Kitchen Creek on June 23 starting at 9 a.m.
The entry fee is $100 per person or $400 for a team, which includes 18 holes of golf, use of a cart, and supper.
All proceeds from this event will go to local charities KidSport and Special Olympics.
You also can win a car with a hole-in-one! There also will be putting and driving contests, along with prizes for all!

The Emo Legion is looking for a part-time bartender/clubroom steward, starting immediately.
Résumés can be mailed or dropped off in the clubroom on Monday to Saturday from 3-6 p.m.
In other Legion news, a Heart and Stroke Foundation fundraiser entitled “Who’s Crafty Night” will be held on Friday, June 1.

A reminder that the Emo Legion will be hosting a prime rib supper at the Emo Arena in conjunction with the Emo Walleye Classic.
The supper will be held on Saturday, May 26 from 5:30-8 p.m.
Tickets cost $25 each and are available at the Emo Legion, with only a limited number being printed.
