OPP looking into thefts

    Atikokan OPP officers are investigating several thefts in the district.
    On Sunday, Aug. 12 an Atikokan resident reported his Alumacraft canoe stolen from Birch Lake. The canoe has a square stern and a  “Canoe Canada” logo on the side of it.
    Stolen on Monday, Aug. 13 was a 25 horsepower Yamaha outboard with two 2.5 gallon red plastic tanks. The items were removed from a boat parked at the Valerie Falls Generation Station.
    Also reported last Monday was the theft of two boats from the Sedgewick Road area. Boat one is described as a silver 14’ Lund with registration numbers E412114690. The second boat is a 17’ Grummin canoe also silver in colour with the number E412114682.
