One hurt in accident

Emo OPP investigated a report of a motor vehicle accident Friday night on Off Lake Road, about four km north of Highway 11.
At 11:25 p.m. a southbound pick-up truck was travelling at a high rate of speed when it lost control and entered the west ditch, striking several fence posts.
Two of the occupants were ejected from the box of the pick-up, with one being transported to La Verendrye hospital in Fort Frances with minor injuries.
He was later released.
The accident remains under investigation.
In other police news, Fort Frances OPP officers responded to a disturbance on the 200 block of Scott Street at 2:50 a.m. on Saturday.
A 19-year-old Fort Frances male subsequently was arrested and charged with breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).
He was released from custody to appear in court Aug. 29.
Also early Saturday morning, Fort Frances OPP investigated a motor-vehicle accident on the 900 block of Eighth Street.
Around 3 a.m., a 1983 Blue Plymouth four-door car was located upside down in the ditch to the north of Eighth Street. Further investigation revealed it had been stolen sometime after 8 p.m. on Friday.

Finally, the OPP Marine Unit patrolled Rainy Lake yesterday, checking 17 vessels and 15 cabins.
There were 17 warnings and one charge issued under the Small Vessels Regulations. One charge was issued under the Liquor Licence Act.
The OPP Marine Unit will continue to patrol area waters throughout the summer.
