Next ‘Jam’ coming up

The next “Country Jam” will be held this Friday (Nov. 17) at the Emo Legion.
If you enjoy dancing or just listening to old-time country music, plan to attend.
There will be no “Jam” in December but they will resume in 2018 (dates will be announced in the coming weeks).

The United Church in Emo will be holding a holiday concert by “Les Filles D’esprit” on Sunday, Nov. 26.
Doors open at 3:15 p.m., with the concert beginning at 4 p.m.
Come and enjoy holiday music, as well as a delicious dessert!
Tickets cost $20 for adults and $15 for students/seniors, which are available at Meyers Clothing.

Vendors and crafters are urged to book your table early for “Holly Daze” festivities in Emo this year.
“Shopping Craze” will take place Saturday, Dec. 2 from 1-3:30 p.m. upstairs at the Emo-La Vallee Community Centre.
To book a table, which costs $15 each, contact the municipality at township@emo.ca or call 482-2378.
Make sure you’re in town for the annual “Holly Daze” celebration! The committee members are hard at work planning for this year’s event.
Take advantage of the many sales and the exciting celebrations on Front Street.

A “Bicycles For Humanity” fundraiser bake table will be set up at the “Walking in a Winter Vendorland,” which is being held this Saturday (Nov. 18) from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous in Fort Frances.
Baking donations are being accepted until Friday, Nov. 17.
The purpose of the bake sale is to raise the necessary funds to send the remaining bicycles to Africa.
The Church of the Holy Spirit in Fort Frances appreciates all the support it has received over the past few years, but this will be its final shipment.
Plan to attend and help the church send the bicycles where they really are needed.

The St. Patrick’s C.W.L.’s tea and bake sale will be held Saturday, Nov. 25 from 1-3 p.m. in the church hall.
Admission is $3 at the door.
There will be draws, meat and raisin pies, and homemade perogies for sale, as well as a table with religious material and crafts.
