New Scam to Hit Area

You have just met a nice friend on the Internet when he gives you a sob story about having difficulties transferring monies to clients.
He asks you if you would be willing to cash some money orders and forward the money to various people, and of course you will be paid for your troubles.
And so follows the arrival of thousands of dollars in US Postal Money Orders. You diligently go through the process of cashing the US Postal Orders, taking your 10% cut and forwarding Canadian Postal Money orders to the list your ‘friend’ has provided.
Then one day the bank calls to tell you the money orders are fraudulent and you owe them so much money you have to take out a second mortgage to cover it.
So when the OPP tells you “IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE…IT IS” will you now believe it? Dozens of people fall victim to these con artists weekly, will you be next?
