Press Release
The Rainy River Area Woodworkers chose new officers at their last meeting.
The club is approaching its two-year anniversary and as per bylaws, members met in January to confirm officers.
Quinn McCarthy and Howard Arch will continue as the club’s president and vice-president, with former treasurer Cory Norgart taking over the secretary duties.
Bill Mcevoy was chosen as the new treasurer.
At the meeting, the club discussed membership and set dues for the coming year.
New membership categories were created for youth and families, and the club also discussed applying for non-profit status.
This will be addressed again at the next meeting set for Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.
The Rainy River Area Woodworkers, a chapter of the American Association of Woodturners, welcomes anyone interested in woodworking.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, with the location rotating between officers’ homes.
