The new Emo and District Lions Club will host its “Charter Night” banquet and dance on June 4 at the Emo Legion.
The cocktail hour will begin at 6 p.m., with a short ceremony celebrating the establishment of the new club starting at 7 p.m.
A full turkey dinner, also featuring salads, rolls, and dessert, will follow the speeches and presentation of certificates to the Charter members of the club.
A dance, featuring local band “Centre-line,” will start around 9 p.m. and continue until 1 a.m.
Tickets, which cost $25 per person, are available at Cloverleaf, Norlund’s, Tompkins Hardware, Borderland Esso, the Barwick Village Restaurant, Greensides (Devlin), and Lowes (Sleeman), as well as from Charter members.
You do not need to be a member of the club to participate in this fantastic evening, but new members definitely are welcome and will be considered Charter members of the Emo and District Lions Club.
