There was one new fire confirmed in the Northwest Region by yesterday afternoon.
Sioux Lookout District fire #18 is “not under control” at 0.1 hectares and is located near Dominion Lake.
The forest fire hazard is “moderate to high” across the region.
Other active fires in the Northwest Region include Red Lake District fire #3, which is “being observed” at a size of 74,334 ha. in size, and Sioux Lookout District fire #14. a lightning-caused fire located in a remote location in the far north which is “being observed” at 12 ha.
