A Pickle Lake woman has been charged with second-degree murder.
On Jan. 8 around 7:30 a.m., the Pickle Lake OPP responded to a report of a non-responsive male who had been located at a residence on Lakeview Crescent there.
Both police and ambulance attended the residence.
The male, identified as David Muckuck, 50, of Pickle Lake, subsequently was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination took place Jan. 9 in Thunder Bay.
As a result of further investigation, police arrested Deborah Muckuck, 30, of Pickle Lake on Jan. 29 on a charge of second-degree murder.
Pickle Lake OPP and the OPP’s North West Region Crime Unit, under the direction of Det. Insp. Peter Loree of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, are continuing the investigation.
