A Shoal Lake #40 First Nation resident has been charged with second-degree murder following a death at a residence there earlier this week.
Katelyn Skead, 23, was to appear in court in Kenora today.
The Treaty #3 Police Service responded to a call Tuesday around 12:30 p.m. to assist an ambulance at a residence.
When emergency personnel arrived at the scene, a deceased male was found.
The victim was identified as James Redsky, 83, of Shoal Lake #40 First Nation.
A post-mortem examination was held Wednesday in Kenora.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
