The municipal election is being held this coming Monday (Oct. 25), with voting taking place from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. at the municipal office.

Ross Donaldson and Ken McKinnon are vying for reeve while Dennis Allen, Jim Belluz, Freeda Carmody, Harold Kellar, Lucille MacDonald, Darcy Robson, Dale Stamarski, and Brian Trimble are chasing the four seats on council.
Glenda Belluz and Ralph Hill are squaring off for a seat on the local public school board while Paul Cousineau, Anne-Marie Fitzgerald, and Harold Huntley are vying for the two Catholic board seats up for grabs.

All residents requiring snowplow services this winter are reminded to sign a snowplow waiver, which are available at the municipal office.
Any outstanding balances must be paid in full before the snowplowing service will start.

The Emo-Devlin-Barwick Minor Hockey Association is holding a bottle drive this Saturday (Oct. 23) throughout the village of Emo.
If you have any empty bottles you would like to donate, please have them ready as players from all divisions will be canvassing homes all day.
If you live outside Emo and have bottles to donate, they may be dropped off at the Emo Arena on Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Card games held at the Devlin Hall earlier this month saw Agnes Waldeck and Ernest Teeple take the high while the low went to Ken McKinnon and Beatrice Meyers.
Cards played last week at the Emo Legion were won by Gerald Bullied and Donna Sheppard, with Adelia Guba and Cheryl Jameson taking the low.
