On Saturday around 10:35 p.m., Thunder Bay OPP officers responded to a motorcycle collision on Highway 593 in Devon Township.
A passing motorist had located a male lying in a ditch beside a motorcycle and contacted police.
An initial investigation revealed the male had been out for a ride on his 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan in the afternoon and evening hours when it appears he lost control and skidded into the ditch.
Richard Cross, 50, of Thunder Bay was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
