The Township of Emo once again is asking its residents to refrain from non-essential water use.
The Emo Spray Park and truck filling station also have been closed to conserve water.
“We had our raw water pump fail a few weeks ago and we’re waiting for our new ones to come in,” noted Jason Smith, the operator in charge of Emo’s water treatment plant.
“We had a temporary pump in there and it’s slowly failing also,” he added.
“We’re changing out our raw water pump that pumps water from the river to our plant,” Smith explained.
This is the second time since July 28 that Emo residents have been asked to curb their water use.
Smith said the repairs will be finished by tomorrow.
He hopes the situation will be back to normal by Thursday if enough water can be gained in time.
