Leana and Tyler Moffitt of Fort Frances were the $10,000 winners in the Riverside Foundation for Health Care’s annual Canada Day Cash Lottery draw, which was made at 10 p.m. last night at The Harbourage.
Ashton and Serina Cousineau of Devlin won the $2,000 prize while Jim and Freeda Carmody, also of Devlin, took home $1,000.
Sonja Bodnarchuk (Fort Frances), Deane Cunningham (Fort Frances), Nevin Bonot (Devlin), and Peter Copenace (Big Grassy FN) each won $500.
This year’s raffle once again was successful, Foundation director Teresa Hazel noted this morning.
While some tickets remained unsold by the time of the draw, the fundraiser still netted more than $12,000.
Proceeds from the lottery will be used to purchase medical equipment at the three district hospitals and Rainycrest.
