Just before midnight on Saturday, Rainy River District OPP officers responded to the report of a mischief at a residence on the 300 block of Third Street West here.
Police investigation revealed a weapon had been discharged at a residence, resulting in damage to a window.
The residence was occupied at the time and fortunately no one was injured.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident, with the assistance of the Fort Frances OPP Crime Unit.
