The Rainy River Agricultural Fair might be cancelled, but the Fair Queen Contest is in full swing. Seven young women have put their names in the ring for the chance to be crowned this year’s Fair Queen. Group activities have given way to a more socially distant competition. Participants have been asked to create a custom banner, which they are displaying in their photos. They were also required to submit a 250 word essay, on a topic they’re passionate about. You can find all those submissions inside. An entertainment competition will show off the participants’ talents. The winner is expected to be crowned in mid-August, to coincide with the original dates of the fair.
