‘Marzie Days’ coming soon

Robin McCormick

The annual “Marzie Days” plant and bake sale will be held on Saturday, May 26 this year.
This event is a fundraiser for “RBC Cruisin’ Down the Crescent,” and there will be bedding plants, hanging plants, potted plants, and vegetable plants.
All kinds of baking, plus lunch, also will be available.
This popular event is held at the home of Alf and Barb Redford, which is located at 1213 Highway 613 North (about six km north of the Highway 11 junction).
Come out for some healthy, hearty plants, great baking, and lunch–and, I can promise you, a few laughs–but most importantly, donating to a worthy cause.

The Emo Walleye Classic “Kids Gone Fishing” event will take place on Wednesday, May 23 from 4-6 p.m.
This is open to those aged nine-14.
Registration forms have been sent to schools. If you have any questions, call your local school.
Forms must be returned by May 16.

The annual T.O.P.S. Salad Supper is set for Monday, May 28 at the Devlin Hall and once again will feature a great meal of salads, buns, beans, wild rice casserole, and desserts.
There also will be raffles, draws, a door prize, and much more.
Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for children aged six-12, with those five and under eating free.
Doors open at 5:30, with the supper starting to be served at 6 p.m.

The next Emo Legion 50/50 draw will be held this Friday, May 4.

The Emo Legion would like to thank the many people who came out and supported them during “Spring Fever Days.”
Many soup-and-sandwich meals were served, and it’s always a fun event.

Sandy Beadle and a large group of her friends returned home from Las Vegas on Monday (April 30) after going there to celebrate Sandy’s 60th birthday.

It’s that time of the year that a lot of events are taking place. Please feel free to text or call me at 271-3568 or 486-0072.

Robin’s 2¢:
I’m jealous of the girls that can sit down in a bathing suit and look cute for pictures, and not look like a busted can of biscuits.
