A man was killed after being struck by a train on the CP Rail tracks near Tunnel Island just before 7 p.m. yesterday
Kenora OPP is continuing to investigation the incident, but foul play is not suspected.
Meanwhile, Kenora OPP charged the driver of a motor vehicle that struck a cyclist on the Airport Road there Saturday and then fled the scene.
The cyclist was sent to Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora with non-life threatening injuries.
Stephanie McDowall, 18, of Kenora was charged with failing to remain at the scene.
Kenora OPP also stopped a vehicle on Highway 17A for speeding yesterday.
As a result of discussions with the driver, the officer checked the vehicle and located a small quantity of marijuana.
Kevin Watson, 43, of Kelowna, B.C., subsequently was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
He is to Kenora on Nov. 22 to answer to the charge.
