Man found drowned in Eagle Lake

The Dryden OPP has concluded the search for a missing boater on Eagle Lake, after reporting late Tuesday they had found the Illinois man they had been looking for dead in the water.
Anthony Kittinger, 41, had apparently drowned in 18 feet of water after an accident on Monday, Aug. 2, when he and two other person were travelling in a boat at approximately 9 p.m. and were thrown into the water.
The occupants were not wearing their lifejackets at the time of the accident. After 15 minutes in the water, other boaters came to assist two of the occupants, who had not suffered any injuries.
Police are continuing their investigation as to the cause of the incident, but no foul play is suspected. A post mortem was to be held yesterday in Kenora.
The OPP would like to remind everyone that wearing your life jacket while boating could save your life.
