Fort Frances OPP officers arrested a local man after stopping a vehicle in the 100 block of Sixth Street East on Saturday around 3:30 p.m.
The 30-year-old male was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
He was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date, police said.
And in the early-morning hours of Sunday, Fort Frances OPP officers investigated a disturbance in the 1200 block of Idylwild Drive.
As a result of that investigation, police arrested a 30-year-old man from Whitefish Bay First Nation for being intoxicated in a public place.
He also was charged with possession of a controlled substance, police added.
The man will appear in court here May 2.
