Man charged in fraud investigation

After a nearly month-long investigation by the Fort Frances OPP, a Thunder Bay man has been charged in relation to issuing a forged document and obtaining goods by false pretense.
On Dec. 29, Fort Frances OPP began an investigation into the use of a fraudulent document to obtain prescription medication.
A 26-year-old man subsequently was charged yesterday with uttering a forged document and obtaining by false pretense under $5,000, contrary to the Criminal Code.
He is being held in custody pending a court appearance Monday.
The investigation is continuing.
