the OPP

A Community Drug Action Team member, assisted by uniformed members of the Rainy River detachment of the OPP, stopped a vehicle westbound on Highway #11 in Dawson Township yesterday.
The vehicle, en route to the First Nation communities of Big Island and Big Grassy from Winnipeg, was being operated by Clinton Levasseur, 42, of Winnipeg, who was charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of roughly 100 oxycodone pills destined for resale in Big Grassy and Big Island.
The street value of the drugs seized is about $4,000.
Levasseur was released and will appear in court here July 11.
