Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 5, members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle that was leaving the courthouse in Atikokan.
As a result of an investigation stemming from this traffic stop, a 53-year-old Atikokan man has been charged criminally with one count of having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
He will appear in Atikokan Provincial Court on Dec. 18.
Members of the public are urged to report Impaired Driving by calling 911 in emergency situations.
