Man busted for drugs

Members of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of the Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) and the North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on 1200 block of King’s Highway here Monday.
As a result of the investigation, a 46-year-old Fort Frances man was arrested and charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
A quantity of crystal meth and marihuana was seized as a result.
He is to appear in court on May 16, 2016 to answer to the charges.

Meanwhile, the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is looking for assistance from the public.
On Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. officers of the Rainy River District Ontario Provincial Police, (OPP) were advised a Honda pickup truck had struck a light pole at a commercial business on the 1000 block of King’s Highway in Fort Frances.
