Lots to celebrate around district

Gordon Cornell celebrated his 89th birthday last week but anyone who knows this “fit as a fiddle” man would never guess his age.
Gordon still feeds the cattle every morning at Cornell Farms and always has a smile on this face (especially after one of his many jokes or funny stories).
Happy birthday, Gordon, from your family, friends, and district!

Norbert Bragg, another legend in our district, is turning 85. He is remembered for his love of horses and his many years of driving school bus.
Norbert also always has a joke and also always is up for a discussion (or I should say debate) about government.
He will be honoured with a come-and-go birthday party this Sunday (Jan. 21) from 1:30-4 p.m. at the Devlin Hall.
Come out and share a memory, handshake, and special birthday celebrations with Norbert!

Congratulations to Jessica Woodgate and Tim Desjardins on the birth of their son, Carter Raymond James, back on Dec. 5.
Proud grandparents are Bill and Lori Woodgate and Ken and Darlene Desjardins.
Proud great-grandparents are Helen and Ray Cousineau and Annie Desjardins.

Another happy person in our community is Neila Booth, who pocketed $340 after winning the most recent “Catch the Ace” draw.

Robin’s 2¢:
Thank God my husband puts a thimble of milk back in the fridge.
You know, just in case I find a recipe that calls for a thimble of milk.
