Local teacher elected to provincial executive

Fort High teacher Paul Elliott was elected as an executive officer to the provincial executive of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation.
Elections for the provincial executive were held at OSSTF’s annual meeting in Toronto over the weekend.
Elliott will serve a two-year term as executive officer of the 50,000-member union representing teachers and educational workers across Ontario.
Locally, Elliott has served as district treasurer of OSSTF District 5B (Rainy River). Provincially, he is a member of the collective bargaining committee.
