On the heels of performing with country music star Michelle Wright during the Annual General Assembly of the Métis Nation of Ontario in Thunder Bay last month, singer/songwriter Sandra Allan of Emo feels she is finally making strides in her music career.
“I had a wonderful time there—all we did was sing,” she enthused.
Her next venture includes singing for the Make-a-Wish Foundation Manitoba on Sept. 7. She will be performing with the Foster Martin Band, a well-known group from Winnipeg.
“They are really good,” Allan stressed. “It’s pretty exciting.”
She has also been asked to appear at next year’s Annual General Assembly of the Métis Nation of Ontario, as well as another function in eastern Ontario.
Allan recently released a CD which features three of her songs and she said the demo has been well-received.
“They’re selling really well,” she expressed, adding a radio station has one of the CDs and she is sending more to six stations in New York as well.
