Rebecca Cornell has been accepted to work at Queen’s Park in Toronto as a page, which will involve running notes and message to MPPs.
She will make this her summer job for the month of June but will be going there for a two-day orientation at the end of this month.
This accomplishment was not an easy one to achieve–Rebecca had to meet the standards to become a page. This involved having a high average at school as well as her involvement at Crossroads School plus her participation in the community.
Rebecca is a true example that diligence pays off as she applied four times for this program before she was accepted. She will be with a group of 20 students, who all will be tutored during their stay there.
Rebecca told me she’s very excited about this opportunity in her life. An added bonus is she has grandparents who live in that area so she will have family near.
I’d like to congratulate Rebecca on this great achievement, however, I’m not at all surprised as I’ve known her all her life and I know she has the qualities it takes to be an excellent page.
Rebecca’s parents, Kim and Pat Cornell, also are very enthused about this opportunity Rebecca will experience.
