There will be no municipal election in Emo, Chapple, and Morley in November because all the candidates have been acclaimed.
In Emo, Reeve Russ Fortier will be back for another three-year term, along with incumbents Ken Fisher, Gary Judson, Geoff Pearce and Harri Sheloff on council.
In Chapple, Reeve William Clink is returning for another term, as are Couns. Mark Hyatt (Ward 1), Rilla Race (Ward 2), Peter Van Heyst (Ward 3), and Rick Neilson (Ward 4).
Margaret Heyens was acclaimed as the public school board trustee representing Emo and Chapple.
And in Morley, Gary Gamsby was acclaimed as reeve, as were incumbents Ken Haw, George Heyens, Gary Jolicouer, and Bill Romyn for council.
There will, however, be an election for the public school board trustee for Rainy River-Morley between incumbent Ron McAlister and challengers Lisa Armstrong and Crystal Lindal.
As for La Vallee and Alberton, there will be elections for both reeve and council there Nov. 10.
In La Vallee, Reeve Ken McKinnon is being challenged by Emily Watson while Jim Belluz, Freeda Carmody, Len McCormick, Tom Morrish, Richard Seidel, Dale Stamarski, and Rodney Storey are vying for the four council seats up for grabs.
In Alberton, Reeve John Milling will face Mike Hammond on election day while incumbents Doug Mitchell and Mike Ford will be vying against Louis G. Collier, Cheryl McCallum, and Barb Cournoyer for council.
Martin Darrah was acclaimed as the public school board trustee for Alberton-La Vallee.
And at last report, former mayor Gord Armstrong will battle Coun. Glen Armstrong for the top job in Rainy River in November. Incumbent mayor Gordon Prost had thrown his name in as a candidate for council.
Among the other nine running for council there were incumbents Brent Anderson, Larry Armstrong, Dennis Ewald, Lance Lindal, and Gerry Marchuk along with newcomers Dave Armstrong, Debbie Ewald, Ed Tymkin, and Dean Wiersema.
