Now you have the commercial, what is a Hunters Supper? It a PARTY! A very popular event in previous years in the Rainy River Valley as well as many other communities This year in Stratton the Food will be a mix of fresh walleye from the pristine waters of NorthWestern Ontario . Salads, veggies, and desserts are all locally prepared and also …

A selection of wild game donated by intrepid area sportsmen will also be offered to attendees as their gift… a real taste treat. It will all be prepared by expert bush cooks who will forgo the “second week of hunt camp” to demonstrate their culinary skills. So what’s your pleasure? Some venison, moose, bear,…

The mystery deepens.

As well as having your taste buds dazzled, you will be entertained with a penny table with a host of items that are ‘hunter must haves”, a silent auction, a live auction, and, and….. a blast of a time.

An amazing Door Prize will be drawn from “in attendance” tickets. A great big thank you to all the folks across the Valley who so willingly donated the many items for the penny table, silent and live auctions.
The size, generosity and openness of “Hearts” throughout our communities is simply amazing. Plus there will be a 50/50 draw- $5 per ticket or 5 tickets for $20.

So perk up your appetite, crack open that wallet and mark your calendar for Saturday, November 5, 5:00pm at Stratton. Dress is Semi-formal: RedNeck-Hunt Camp. If you are coming straight in from the second week of hunt camp, your wife, (you are bringing her, right!) would appreciate it if you could perhaps fall in the lake with a bar of soap beforehand. Shaving is optional And remember no firearms, spittin’, cussin’, or fightin.’

This is going to be a roaring WRRD Lions Club good time. Like always we need to make a few more bucks to support more youth and charitable programs throughout our communities here in the Rainy River Valley.
