The annual Emo Lenten Lunch worship series will be hosted by Emo Knox United Church every Wednesday from March 11-April 1. Come and enjoy a short worship service followed by a soup and sandwich lunch. All are welcome!

The Emo Hospital Auxiliary will be holding their annual Shamrock Tea and Bake Sale on Friday, March 13 in the Emo Hospital Cafeteria from 1 – 3 p.m. Admission to the tea will be $5 and will support the work and projects of the Auxiliary in the Emo Hospital. Come for some tea, coffee and refreshments and spend some time with friends. There will be baking and goodies for sale, so please mark the date on your calendar and come out to support the beneficial work of the members of the Hospital Auxiliary.

St. Patrick’s Church Emo will be hosting their annual Traditional Irish Supper, on Tuesday, March 17 at 5:30 p.m. The meal will be Loin of Bacon (smoked pork loin), served with Creamy Cabbage & Champ and all the sides (mashed potatoes). Admission to the supper will be by advanced ticket only. Adults will be $15.00 and children 6-12 years $8.00. Please call Mary Curtis – 482-2094, Joyous Bragg – 275-9791, Heather Oltsher – 487-2253 or stop at Gillons Insurance on Front Street to purchase tickets. Organizers hope to see you there.

New tables have been purchased by the Emo Hospital Auxiliary for the Emo Hospital Cafeteria. Tasty hot and cold meals are available from Monday to Friday. Patrons are welcome from Golden Age Manor and the general public to purchase meals or a bite of food, coffee, or tea from 11:00 to 12:30 each day. The Cafeteria has been served by volunteers and the Emo Hospital Auxiliary now for 33 years. Come in for a social visit or food. They will welcome you. The Cafeteria is located at the west end of the Hospital. The Auxiliary is looking for more members, helping hands serving at teas, baking for bake sales, volunteering at the cafeteria, handmade donations to the Gift Shop, selling tickets, and helping with the fund raising projects. All the little things that keep our Hospital equipped are much appreciated.

The Emo and District Lions are always looking for new members from the District. If you are interested in becoming a member and would like to contribute to local projects and programs around the world, the club meets on the first Wednesday of the month in the Devlin Community Hall. The club’s most recent project is the new accessible playground and the Carmody Ball Diamond in Devlin. Other projects are being planned for the near future.
