Fort Frances Legion Ladies Auxiliary to Br. #29 met on Dec. 11, 2019 with 45 present.
The meeting was brought to order at 6 p.m. by president Alfreda Easton.
Minutes of the Nov. 13, 2019 general meeting and the Dec. 4, 2019 executive meeting were circulated.
The early bird membership draw went to Barb Ogden (November).
The November birthday winner was Cindy Noble with a card given to Elaine Sande.
Allison Dresen won the 50/50 draw (Lic M832107), while Elsie Wihnan won the attendance draw (Lic M832107).
Sponsorships and support were approved to The Warming Centre, the Fort Frances Family Centre, Community Christmas dinner, and five district school nutrition programs.
A delicious dinner was prepared by Todd Moxham and served by the cadets.
Dinner was followed by a visit from Santa to deliver the gift exchange gifts and have pictures with Santa taken. Games followed which provided entertainment for all.
Big thank you to Clara and Marlene for all their hard work on organizing. Clara Stainke was recognized by Br. #29 president Ann Watson for her many hours of volunteer work with the Auxiliary.
Planning for our “Pjs & Pearls Gala”–the upcoming all-ladies event–is in full swing with the date set for April 4, 2020.

Next executive meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 6 at 6:30 p.m. General meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m.
