Legion ladies to host suppers

Clara Stainke

The Legion Ladies Auxiliary general meeting was held last Wednesday (Jan. 11), with 31 members attending.
The early-bird draw for membership was won by Laurie Mann, the attendance draw was won by Irene Laing, and the birthday draw went to Rosanna Tweedie.
On Jan. 6, a funeral luncheon was held for Pat Kozik, with roughly 150 people in attendance.
The charter will be draped in her honour at the Feb. 8 meeting.
On Jan. 21, the auxiliary will be doing a retirement dinner for the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Call Heather if you can help in any way.
The next monthly supper will be held on Friday, Jan. 27, with roast beef as the main course.
Homemade pies would be appreciated.
More volunteers also are urged to participate in upcoming events.
This is a great way to get to know other auxiliary members and help us serve the community in many ways.
