Fort Frances Legion Ladies Auxiliary to Br. #29 met on May 8 with 30 members in attendance.
The meeting was brought to order at 7:05 p.m. by president Alfreda Easton, followed by the minutes of the April 10 general meeting and the May 1 executive meeting being read and approved.
There were no new membership applications presented for approval.
The May birthday was Lorraine Gosselin with cards to Joanne Gosselin, Sandra Gosselin, and Leslie Bell.
The 50/50 draw was won by Elaine Sande while Joanne Gosselin won the attendance draw.
We are still in need of a Ways and Means co-ordinator. If you can help out please contact Alfreda Easton at 274-9105.
If you are able to take on a month or two this is very helpful. Thank you to the ladies that have come forward to help with this.
Recent and upcoming events include the Air Cadets annual review and parade on May 22 at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Sports Centre.
The Memorial Day parade in I’Falls will take place on May 27. Colour party to march. Contact Sargeant at Arms Sandy Pruys at 274-9520 if you are available to march.
The monthly supper will take place on May 31. Pork cutlets,gravy, dressing, veggies, salad, buns,coffee/tea and homemade pies/desserts all for only $16 per plate.
Manitoba Northwestern Ontario Convention is set for June 14-17, but workers are still needed for this event to be successful. All members are asked to come forward for this event.
Colour Party School will run on June 16 at 3:30 p.m. Contact Sandy Pruys ay 274-9520 to sign up.
Relay For Life will take place on June 22 at the Point Park. Our Colour Party is to lead the first lap.
Honours and Awards recognitions will take place on Sept. 14. More info to follow.
A committee is being formed to start the wheels in motion for the 2020 Gala.
Sponsorships and support will be given to Relay for Life.

The next regular auxiliary meeting will be Wednesday, June 12, 2019. There will be a pot Luck supper at 6 p.m. with meeting to follow upstairs in the Legion hall. Bring your favourite dish. It will be our final meeting until September.
