The local Legion Ladies Auxiliary held their general meeting May 9, with 37 members in attendance.
The attendance prize was won by Brenda Marr while the birthday draw was won by Gloria Bergner.
Janet Williams was sworn in as a new member.
Lorraine Huntley’s name was put forward for membership, and she will be initiated in the fall.
The Charter was draped in memory of Rolene Spencer. We will miss her greatly.
In other news, planning already is underway for our annual Remembrance Day tea.
If you can help in any way, contact an auxiliary member. It would be greatly appreciated.
Remember, our general meeting on June 13 will be a potluck supper starting at 6 p.m.
